B. PAIN POINT: "2 OUT OF 3 MALAYSIAN ARE NOT FINACIALLY LITERATE"

From Standard & Poor survey finding, there are 488 million people in ASEAN and 22 million in Malaysia that are not financially literate. Statistic has shown 70% of Malaysian is under financial illiterate. Low Financial Literacy among Malaysia and the ASEAN population, as a results, it creates alarming financial problems in the society.

Some of the society common financial pain points are insufficient emergency fund, low retirement saving, high bankruptcy rate, trapped by scam, the most recent shocking news is university graduates has owe student loans PTPTN a huge default debt which amounted 39 Billion!

Money Compass have conducted a survey with 1,000 university students nationwide and the result shown that university students’ financial challenges are 67% are financially stressed due to high cost of living, no saving & lack of financial knowledge. 84% do not know any particular trusted / credible online platform to get financial information & advise. 98% can only resort to friends & family and random online search but not confident with their sources.

Universities students are our hope of the future and to our nation, they are the future leaders and an important asset. Hence,  the lacking of financial education in our education system is an important issue to be confronted and tackled.

H. WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET

To create a holistic e-learning platform for 1.3 million university students, we need a solid and strong fund investment to hire talents to create above video contents, maintaining e-learning management system, marketing and operation cost, and a good Info technology platform and media server to support the video streaming.

We seek for funding support from 3 resources - Participants subscription, CSR Sponsorship from Financial Institution, Government Grant and donation from Foundation.

As to date, we had signed MOU and letter of Interest with 10 universities with more than 102,000 students population combined. Hence we need the support from all of you to fully develop the platform so we could enroll the student by 1st Quarter of 2019.
